Electronic cigar

Thankful for the high technology way of communication through internet we had a group chat, talked with video with my two sisters. Though we are in different part of the globe we connected the world by the use of computers. It is already a chance to talk with them free of charge plus we can be able to see each through webcam. We cannot really measure the power of internet and the benefits it gives to the people. We had a wonderful time with each other, talking some funny things and I also let them know that my father went back to smoke. I was a little bit discouraged but it is already his choice. All we want is the best for him. Now it is very difficult for his body to recover again after being diagnosed with lung problem. My sister in the US told us about Electronic Cigarette and she planned to buy one for my father when she go back home and we will see how can it help him in many ways.

Retiring

My father will be retiring from his work this coming month of May. He will be turning sixty then. My brother has a big chance to fill his position and that is a policy of the company. At last he can now rest from twenty three years of working so hard day and night. He can now better serve and focus his time in the community as councilor. I just wish he will retire from using a cigars too; I’m sure his lungs feel very tired and want to have a break.

Electronic cigarette

I just could not understand that people already know the effects of it still they are still continue smoking. I am surprise that there is a new electronic cigarette available now and is getting high tech. Smoking is the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death. Quitting will reduce the risk of dying.

Enforcing smoking bans

pssst, no smoking here! The big time I heard about smoking ban in a certain place is in Davao City, Philippines, through the initiative and mayoral power of Rodrigo Duterte. Several cities followed suit and even countries abroad. The smoking ban became popular internationally, which it should be. So you see it just showed that when there is a will there is a way, despite many objections along the process from big businesses and lobbyists. It was so effective that laterally no one smoked then, in public places. It is not just for a cleaner environment and fresher air, but most importantly, good health for the citizens too, aside from being spared from being slapped by the mayor in the public place once caught aside from other punishments.

What is interesting is that smoking ban is just being enforced July 1 in the Netherlands where people are free to smoke even marijuana and or cannabis in public places like coffee shops and cafes. We saw it in Amsterdam during our trip. From the first day of this month and on, any businesses caught allowing customers to smoke, those cafes, bars and restaurants, would be warned and repeat offenders would face escalating fines. Will it be effective in a place where smoking (prohibited) drugs is allowed? Why not. When there’s a will, there’s a way, for greener health and earth. It is after all, for our own good.
