Common problem in pregnancy

My sister is pregnant and is experiencing lower back pain. I told her that Lower back pain is the most common problem, especially during the first and last months as the weight of the baby weighs down on the spine which gives an unnatural curve to the lower back, the pain is felt more when lying down on the back my suggestions. Lie on your side when sleeping with a pillow between your thighs and one near the lower back.
Keep a hot water bag if the pain is too much these will give temperary relief but you have to strengthen her muscles with exercise and good posture.

Comfortable Sleeping

sleepingProper sleeping posture is that of sleeping on your side with knees slightly bent. Place a cushion between your knees to take pressure off your lower back and to prevent it from twisting. Place a pillow under your neck but ensure that it is not too high. Your head and the rest of your spine should be in line with one another.

If lying on your back, place a pillow under the knees. Support your neck with a small but firm pillow under the curve of the neck.

Lying in the fetal position with the head tucked in and knees up reverses your lower back and neck curves and increases spinal stress.

Lying on your stomach is the worst position to sleep in as it puts undue stress on your neck, mid back and hips.

Natural sleep aids

sleepMillions of people throughout the world do not get enough rest and sleep. In fact, they falsely believe that rest and sleep are a waste of time and energy. Getting the right amount of sleep is becoming more difficult in today’s 24/7 world. Have trouble catching some zees? You need natural sleep aids. Sleep is the most underrated part of staying healthy. When you get enough consistent sleep, you are a healthier and happier person but without sleep, you’re not going to be able to concentrate well enough to your work or get the most out of your classes.
