I was reading today forums talking about racial discrimination. Then good news about the Nigerian woman who won the landmark case against Niger government. Free at last from being a slave for ten years and deprived human rights, and assured of her children’s freedom. And we thought it is over by now; slavery is just so inhumane, as so is racial discrimination. My mentality is that we are all equal, aren’t we? Red, brown, white, black, yellow, no matter what is the color of our skin, we all breathe for air to stay alive. Is there such a thing as supreme human beings over the others? We may be poor, some of us living a luxurious lifestyle, other barely made it, but we are all a dot from a distance, and we all return to dust. I just hope other people stop being proud to the extent of looking down, laughing at, and discriminating other races. Why, when we all breathe the same air.
