Proper sleeping posture is that of sleeping on your side with knees slightly bent. Place a cushion between your knees to take pressure off your lower back and to prevent it from twisting. Place a pillow under your neck but ensure that it is not too high. Your head and the rest of your spine should be in line with one another.

If lying on your back, place a pillow under the knees. Support your neck with a small but firm pillow under the curve of the neck.

Lying in the fetal position with the head tucked in and knees up reverses your lower back and neck curves and increases spinal stress.

Lying on your stomach is the worst position to sleep in as it puts undue stress on your neck, mid back and hips.

The left side of the heart receives blood from the lungs. Whatever comes into the lungs it goes to the heart. It goes to the left artrium then pass to the mitral valve to the left ventricle then the blood pump out to the system. However, the right side of the heart pumps the blood to the lungs. What happen if the left side of the heart is unable to pump out the blood to the system? Or what happen if the left ventricle is tired and can’t do it anymore? The left side of the lungs will go on strike. What happen is the blood backs up to the lungs and the lungs don’t know any better on what to do. The left side of the heart also doesn’t know any better so it keeps on pumping blood to the lungs and lungs to the heart and keeps on pumping. The heart will not take any blood anymore so the blood backs up to the lungs then fluid overload occurs.
In left sided heart failure there is a pulmonary problem. The signs and symptoms are: shortness of breath, fluid overload, pink frothy sputum, and easy fatigability.
