Construction started

Our house construction is going on for a week now and we are so thankful for my family for backing this up and to my father who’s the one supervising the construction and the laborers. Now I realized it is not easy to build a house, especially in terms of the budget. I already pawned my two rings just to pay for the five laborers and still not enough. Hope God will supply all our needs to finish our new house. So excited to separate from my parents and be with our feet in molding our own family.

It is one of the beautiful buildings ever made that I have seen. It is located in Mumbai-India. It was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. It consists of a Central Hall with great archways and side halls that can accommodate 500 to 600 people. The design by English Architect Wittet is based on 16th Gujrat style. It is amazing that until now it is still standing with pride. Everyday there are many people locals or foreigners visit this place everyday.

Destructive intervention

Prince Charles faces a new architecture row. The story reminds me of someone close to us that likes to intervene on what the construction workers are doing. She does it in a confusing and aggravating way, in the sense that the experienced workers know is not right. It really does not matter if she is the owner or the ‘boss’. I am an engineer myself and when I take a project I know what to do and what is right. Intervention is sometimes helpful but when it is too much of a work disruption and will not make us ‘advance’, it can be a bad setback. So her construction workers left her, bad in both ways.
