Vitamin D and the skin

When we were kids our parents used to tell us to go out early in the morning to get vitamins from the sunlight and have healthier skin. Now, a vitamin made when sunlight hits the skin, Vitamin D, could help slow down the ageing of cells and tissues, say researchers. It’s possible that the same sunshine which may increase our risk of skin cancer may also have a healthy effect on the ageing process in general.
