Yesterday was my first time to go out from our staff house since I arrived in Khartoum. We went to the grocery store and bought things that we needed. I was glad to know that almost everything can be found there and some products with same brand in the Philippines. I was very glad. After an hour we went outside walking.

I was already aware that the weather is so hot. To my surprise is it hotter than I thought but bearable. I put a sunblock on and used hat. I missed a dear friend of mine whom I used to complain when we walk under the heat of the sun. How I wish she was here.

I was so glad that one of the staff here from Australia offered to go out and showed me around the place. We went out about 3pm. It was a long walk. The place is nice. It is not crowded or anything. it is quite peaceful and clean. My friend showed me where the good groceries, coffee shop and etc. We were very thirsty and exhausted after the walk but it was worth it.

After few hours, we had our dinner with other staffs. I got to meet the person who interviewed me when I applied for the job. It was nice to see him and talked to him for awhile.

It was a long day but it was fun. Thanks God for everything.
