My first reaction upon reading the Times headline was “was husband virgin?”. It’s just that most of the times men demand a chase wife when they themselves were once sowing wild oats. Not that I support the practice for men and women, it is just that it is unfair for the female sex in this matter. So what is really the reason why a man and a woman marry? In their case it seems that the woman’s assurance of being a virgin was a factor in the man’s decision to marry. A Muslim couple. Well they seemed to have started it in the wrong way, and better annul it early that forever be haunted by each other everyday. A sad, relief.
