One of the things I know about a certain country I am in now is that they consider fat people as sexy and attractive. I cannot comprehend why these people think about it. I guess they have their own style and sizes of sexy costumes. It is funny to compare about the difference of each people’s view about life.

We spend our lives on the run: we get up by the clock, eat and sleep by the clock, get up again, and then suddenly when we look at our face in the mirror wrinkles appear. Getting older is a tough one to bear. As you get older, you may be more vulnerable to some health issues and wrinkles. Of course for women they use best wrinkle cream to get rid of it. There is no escaping to old age

I started my day with my devotional. Galatians 6:2 ” Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” When God places people in our lives who are in need, He is aware of what they lack, and He knows He has given us the resources to meet those needs. God does nothing by accident. Recognizing a need in someone’s life can be one of the greatest invitations from God we will ever experience. It’s so easy to become frustrated by the problems of others. They can overwhelm us as we become aware of need after need. If God is blessing us materially or strong healthy family and other aspects of life. It may be that He has been purposely building things in our lives so that we can now be the kind of person who will carry the burdens of others. By doing so we will fulfill the law of Christ. i am blessed that I found people that invest their effort to make me feel at home here. I really thank God for them.

After reading the bible and my devotional book, I was able to chat with my sister and friends in facebook. In the middle of our chatting, J got me because we had an emergency staff meeting. It was a very short notice so I hurriedly prepared and went out. We were all in the living room table. There were just some important things needed to be discussed. It was just a short meeting.

No matter how the government does to prevent people from smoking, people will just continue smoking. People have a hard time stop smoking because they are already addicted to nicotine. Many tobacco industries are selling different kind of tobacco like the Rocky Patel. Many people who are already having the problems have regrets. Regrets are the worst enemy one have can have.

The battle against the bulge can seem like an uphill quest today. With so many weight loss pills on market today, it can be overwhelming. You have to be careful in choosing a diet pill to purchase. Many people are willing to fake people just to earn money. Of course, there is no magic pill that works for everyone because everyone’s weight loss needs are quite different.

After the service today, we went straight to a restaurant for lunch. Of course, I am not very sure about the menu. What I find there that I knew was a barbecue chicken. So I ordered. When the order came, my eyes went big.. hahahahaha…. the chicken is very huge like 3/4 of the size of a big chicken… wow!!! It was very awkward to see that this is little me with a huge chicken in front. It seemed like I will eat like there is no tomorrow. Anyway, of course, I was not able to consume everything. In fairness, it was very yummy. My tummy is very full.

After our lunch, we went back to the house. It is so hot outside. It is very comforting to go inside my room with an aircon already turned on.

After an hour I went out with a new friend Jess (one of the staff) to a shopping center. It is like 20 minutes away from the staff house. It was very hot. The wind that was blowing was like an exhaust fun that is point right at you but it was tolerable. I never imagine the weather here is that hot.
We had a lot of fun looking around the shop. It was nice and organize but expensive. There were only few people there. After an hour of strolling around we went back to the house and took some nap.

The common illness or conditions in older adults or even young adults are high BP, high cholesterol and glucose levels. It is sad to say that these three are associated with obesity. It is said that irvingia will these problems. These are preventable by having a healthy lifestyle eating healthy food, drinking lots of water and doing exercises. These will not only prevent those but it makes one feel good about oneself.

I am still have to get to use to the pattern of the week here. In this country their weekend are Fridays and Saturdays. The work days are from Sunday to Thursday. Friday is the church day here. It was kind of weird but I will get it to use to it. It is even more weird to start working on Sundays. But anyway, it is just a matter of adjusting to the culture.

We went to the church today. It is about 15 minutes drive. The service started at 11am. It is a pentecostal church. The sermon was great. I really appreciate the fire of the people to praise and worship God. There were about 7 people who went the first time in this church including myself. We got to stand up and introduce ourselves. Mostly we were came from different countries, there was one came from sudan, philippines, norway, england, nigeria, ethiopia and I forgot the others. It was fun.

I was very happy to meet a Filipino there who is part of the worship team. He told me that there were many Filipino people in the church and will have separate worship service after the service we attended. He invited me to attend but I told him I will attend next week because I was with other staff and I need to go and ride the the car with them. Of course, I do not know yet how to get to our staff house if ever I attend. That was very exciting. I look forward to attending that service. I got to meet some American people that my area coordinator was trying to connect me with. I am sad that I did not have a chance to talk to them more after church because my companion left the church right after the service.

Today there are many people, who are trying to lose weight, but the battle of the bulge can be a difficult one, with every weight loss pill claiming to be the best, it is tough to figure out which ones actually work, and which ones are scams.
